The internationally renowned World Pipe Band Championships has returned to Glasgow Green this weekend for another year of top-flight competition and family fun. And this year, there’s even more to enjoy, because this unique event - the biggest piping competition on the planet – has now grown to a full weekend.
Glasgow has welcomed 225 bands – over 8000 pipers - from 17 nations including Mexico, Sweden, Brazil, Zimbabwe, the USA and New Zealand to name but a few.
Nothing beats actually being at The Worlds, but if you can’t make it this year, the event will be is being filmed and broadcast online.
